With the CRM comes an interface which allows to link the CRM with other applications such as accounting or ERP systems. This interface is called Webservices (see Wiki) and uses REST (see Wiki) for communications.
In principle this is an universal interface which uses the Internet to exchange information. It can be used not only to read data from the CRM but also to create or to update data sets.
